For Total Defence Week 2014, the school has adopted a new approach of using National Education (NE) Ambassadors to become guides. These leaders became information guides and brought pupils on a tour of the Social Studies Wall located at the central staircase. The teachers trained the NE Ambassadors to explain to other pupils about the history of Singapore through the available displays. Educating Corporation Primary School pupils on the history of Singapore and how we have survived over the years is in line with "Psychological Defence", one of the pillars of Total Defence. Once pupils know more about our history and how Singaporeans have shown reslience, especially after World War II, they will learn to be resilient themselves.

This year, the Red Cross joined in the celebration of Total Defence Week by setting up a booth to share with the other pupils on simple First Aid using bandages. They were first trained by the teachers and during Total Defence Week, the Red Cross members shared what they have learnt with the other pupils during recess. Pupils would come to the booth and Red Cross members will show them how to put on the bandages. The members would also allow the other pupils to try tying the bandages on their own as well. This allowed the Red Cross members to put into practice what they have learnt, as well as showcase "Civil Defence", one of the pillars of Total Defence, where the citizens themselves are responsible in helping each other as part of Total Defence.
